Dr. Ulrike Prokes, MSc. (WU) MIM (CEMS)
My entry into the legal profession was not via the traditional route, but via business: after graduating from a commercial academy, completing a Master's degree in International Business Administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business and working in various companies, I learned the ropes, how companies think, act and grow. Three semesters abroad have also sharpened my international perspective. In my work as a lawyer, I combine these two worlds of economic understanding with legal expertise in order to not only master paragraphs, but to create solutions that are legally sound and entrepreneurially smart.
Focus areas for me are Foundation law, Business Succession and Real Estate. In my dissertation, I comprehensively examined the organizational and control structure of foundations - an academic background that enables me to precisely analyze complex structures and design them in a meaningful way.
When I'm not juggling laws and numbers, you can find me on the tennis court in summer and on the ski slopes in winter. I live out my creative side in the kitchen - from artistic cake design to perfect bread. I also draw inspiration from modern art and photography. Because creativity is the key to innovative solutions - even in law.
