5 questions the foundation board should ask itself at least once a year

Being a member of a foundation's board of directors entails considerable responsibility, as the board is legally obliged to ensure that the foundation's purpose is fulfilled (Section 17 PSG). To this end, the board manages third-party, often considerable assets. Inflation Reduction Act under lease law - rent control, value protection and time limits

WiEReG: Mandatory disclosure of trusteeships

Since 2018, the Austrian Beneficial Ownership Register Act (WiEReG) has required legal entities in Austria to disclose their beneficial owners in order to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. Supreme Court on the admissibility of value protection clauses

In its recent decision of July 30, 2025 (GZ 10Ob15/25s), the Supreme Court clarified that value protection clauses in long-term lease agreements are permissible - provided they are formulated clearly and transparently.
