Mag. Walter Bajons
My work at GIBEL ZIRM began with a personal connection. Friends of my family had been long-standing and satisfied clients of our law firm and it was through them that I first came into contact with one of the firm’s partners. A pleasant and open conversation was followed by my joining the firm as an associate six months later.
That was almost a decade ago. Since then, I have experienced a great deal, learned a lot, celebrated successes and faced setbacks. Not only have I grown personally, but so have those around me. My current work as a lawyer and my understanding of our profession have been fundamentally shaped by the experiences of recent years and the close exchange with my colleagues.
As a lawyer, you are an independent professional. However, the best results are achieved through collaboration with others. This can involve testing your own approach and strategy through a discussion with colleagues, working together on a project, or jointly managing a case, with everyone contributing the part that suits them best.
In terms of content, procedural law is my passion. It is in litigation that disputes are resolved and solutions are found. The process is never rigid, but always a dynamic and human interaction that demands quick thinking, good preparation, and an eye for essentials. It is an ever-changing path to a goal that you set yourself, yet sometimes have to adjust along the way, in order to be achieved.
In addition to my work as an attorney, I like to seek balance in nature. A dip in cold water, a hike in the mountains, or a camping trip help me to switch off and recharge my batteries for the challenges ahead.
