Mag. Walter Bajons
My work at GIBEL ZIRM began with a personal reference. Friends of my family are long-standing and satisfied clients of our law firm and it was through them that I came into contact with a partner in the firm. A pleasant and open conversation was followed six months later by my joining the firm as an associate.
That was almost a decade ago. Since then, I have experienced a lot, learned a lot, celebrated successes and suffered defeats. Not only I myself, but also those around me have developed a great deal. My current work as a lawyer and my understanding of our profession have been fundamentally shaped by the experiences of recent years and the intensive exchange with my colleagues.
As a lawyer, you are an independent professional. However, the best results are achieved in collaboration with others. This can involve putting your own approach and strategy through its paces in an exchange of opinions with colleagues or working together on a project or managing a process jointly, with everyone contributing the part that suits them best.
In terms of content, procedural law is my passion. Disputes are resolved and solutions found in litigation. The process is never rigid, but always a lively and human interaction that demands quick-wittedness, good preparation and an eye for the essentials. It is an ever-changing path to a goal that you set yourself, but which you sometimes have to adjust along the way if you want to achieve it.
In addition to my work as an attorney at law, I like to seek balance in nature. A dip in cold water, a hike in the mountains or a camping trip help me to switch off and recharge my batteries for the next challenges ahead.
